PLMA Private Label Trade Show, organized by the Private Label Manufacturers Association, looks to set a new all-time record for show size and attendance when it comes to the Rosemont Convention Center, just outside Chicago, from November 11 to 13. Three exhibit halls will present more than 2,800 exhibit booths from leading private label manufacturers—up over 5 percent compared to 2017 and including significant growth from the expansion of international pavilions and exhibitors from more than 50 countries.

Thousands of people attend to walk the show floor. Attendees also have opportunities to explore new trends, marketing concepts and product innovations, including PLMA’s Idea Supermarket, a display that spotlights the best and most-innovative private label products from U.S. and international retailers. Visitors to the show each year include buyers and executives from virtually every U.S. supermarket and drug chain, mass merchandiser, warehouse/club, discount, convenience and dollar store, in addition to online and specialty retailers, foodservice distributors and wholesalers. Buyer and visitor registrations for 2017 reached 5,400, and total trade show participation, including exhibitor personnel, surpassed 11,200.

On Saturday, November 10 and Sunday, November 11, PLMA will host its Executive Education Program (separate registration required), along with additional educational opportunities on Sunday afternoon, followed by an opening reception at 7:00 pm. The trade show floor will be open 9:00 am to 6:00 pm on Monday, November 12, and from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm on Tuesday, November 13.

PLMA reports that private label sales are growing as much as three times faster than national brands based on recent reports from Nielsen and others, with much of this growth from sales of newer, innovative and premium products.
