The 2017 PROCESS EXPO, presented by the Food Processing Suppliers Association (FPSA), will take place September 19–22 at McCormick Place in Chicago. Over 600 exhibiting companies, spanning 220,000 square feet, will offer equipment, machinery and demonstrations for buyers across the food industry, including Bakery, Grains, Seeds and Snacks.

PROCESS EXPO will feature several working production lines, including a bakery line simulating a frozen cookie line. Suppliers participating in the bakery production line include CMC America Corp., Handtmann, Praxair, Intralox, Mettler Toledo, System Technology and Stober Drives.

“We are incredibly excited to put on this exhibit for the attendees at PROCESS EXPO,” says Ken Hagedorn, chairman, FPSA Bakery Council, vice president of sales, Naegele, Inc., Alsip, IL. The exhibit will feature three demonstrations daily, at 10:30 am, 1:30 pm and 3:30 pm, and attendees can ask experts questions about each segment of the line as it is running.

Other features at PROCESS EXPO will include: Virtual Reality Showcase, a virtual showroom of equipment; Educational Sessions, including a special focus on food safety and sanitation; The Food Safety Summit Theater, featuring new FSMA updates, HACCP training, Listeria prevention, traceability, environmental monitoring, food fraud, auditing, food allergens and pest management; networking receptions; and the Innovations Showcase, with awards for the best new products, technology and equipment.

As part of the educational program, FPSA has also announced the creation of the Processor Spotlight Series, which will include a wide variety of speakers from successful food processing companies.

PROCESS EXPO will also offer a two-day HACCP Certification Training Course, partially subsidized by FPSA to help companies in their efforts to train employees. The course will take place on Wednesday, September 20 from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm and on Thursday, September 21 from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm.

The FPSA Job Board, located at the FPSA booth, #4028, will also make its debut at this year’s PROCESS EXPO. FPSA members will have the opportunity to post vacant positions within their company at the Job Board exhibit and make contact with over 15,000 food industry professionals in attendance.
