IT’SUGAR donates $500K to Make-A-Wish
Candy retailer raised the funds through its Charity Lollipop Program.

IT’SUGAR recently donated more than $500,000 to Make-A-Wish, the non-profit organization that creates life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses.
IT’SUGAR raised the funds through its Charity Lollipop Program, which donates a portion of the proceeds from sales of its star-shaped rainbow lollipops to Make-A-Wish. To celebrate the milestone, the Make-A-Wish leadership team visited IT’SUGAR’s corporate headquarters for a check presentation event and met with members of the IT’SUGAR executive team.
IT’SUGAR began selling its rainbow star-shaped lollipops, benefiting Make-A-Wish, at all of its locations in August 2019. The retailer plans to continue its partnership with the non-profit organization with the goal of reaching the $1 million donation mark in early 2022.
IT’SUGAR’s Charity Pop Program has raised more than $1.5 million for non-profit organizations nationally since its inception in 2013. Other sweet causes that have benefited from the program include Alex’s Lemonade Stand, The Pink Agenda, and Lollipop Theater Network.
Store patrons can continue to help support Make-A-Wish this holiday season and in 2022 by purchasing the rainbow lollipops located in a special promoted area near each stores’ cash registers.
