Two companies in the food conveying industry, KOFAB and Meyer Industries, are teaming up to capitalize on their respective strengths and maximize their ability to offer innovative and technologically-advanced solutions to their customers in a new company, Precision Food Innovations (PFI).
PFI will operate as the food division under the umbrella of Precision, Inc., a global, employee-owned manufacturer and distributor of conveyor products and solutions founded in 1977. PFI will join the industrial division Precision, Pulley & Idler (PPI), under parent company Precision, Inc.
“The combined brand portfolio we are growing at PFI gives us strong exposure to the food handling equipment business, as well as an ability to reach consumers across a wide variety of channels,” said Greg Stavers, senior president of PFI. “Customers can expect a smooth transition and will still be interacting with many of the same people they have come to know over the years.”
KOFAB and Meyer Industries are long-standing names in the food processing industry. KOFAB manufactures a significant share of custom-designed food equipment and specializes in original, USDA-approved stainless steel equipment for bakery, dairy, candy, meat, poultry and pharmaceutical processors, while Meyer manufactures a broad range of equipment including vibratory conveyors, bucket elevators, hopper-feeders, bulk box filling, mix-blend systems, hydrostatic steam blanchers, hydrochillers, washers and much more.
As Meyer Industries and KOFAB continue to transition into PFI, rebranding efforts will include new email addresses with the extension @pfi-global.com and a new logo to identify the launch of the new company. Find out more at www.pfi-global.com.
