The 2018 National Restaurant Association (NRA) Restaurant, Hotel-Motel Show will take place at Chicago’s McCormick Place from May 19–22. The event is the largest annual foodservice trade show in the U.S. and hosts over 66,000 foodservice professionals from around the world to explore innovations, insights and solutions.
On Sunday, May 20, Condoleezza Rice, the 66th Secretary of State, will discuss her insights related to her experiences in public service and business consulting. Dawn Sweeney, president and CEO or NRA, will then lead a Q&A session to dig into how these insights can help further growth in the foodservice industry.
New for 2018, the Restaurant Revenue Growth Conference will provide a forum to discuss tools and resources that can drive growth across the foodservice industry.
The interactive Kitchen Innovations Showroom at the event will showcase the 2018 Kitchen Innovations Award recipients, including equipment advancements in oven technology for pizzas and other baked goods, griddles, slicers and cutters, and much more.
The World Culinary Showcase will feature a range of world-class celebrity chefs sharing their culinary prowess and industry insight, demonstrating techniques and sharing tips and tricks.
More than 50 on-floor education sessions will cover a wide variety of timely subjects, including workforce development, business operations, food trends and more.
Specialty areas and pavilions will be featured at sites across the show floor, grouped by top trends, products and emerging technologies. Pavilions at this year’s show include the Natural & Organic Pavilion, featuring on-trend ingredients for organic and natural menu items; the Bellavita Italian Pavilion; and the Innovation Hub, featuring technological innovations and insights.
The Foodamental Studio will offer hands-on workshops and the opportunity to sample products honored this year with a FABI Award, including: a clean-label baguette; falafel fritters; a fruit, nut and veggie snack bar; french fried butter beans; a gluten-free hoagie roll; a gluten-free brownie with a strong sustainability story; a honey almond dessert bar; gluten-free pizza crusts made from cauliflower and broccoli; premium Tuscan flatbreads; and gourmet gluten-free cookie dough, among many others.
