Bell Flavors and Fragrances recently announced the new hires of William Bartholomew, Julie Leanes, Dave Mercury, as well as the promotion of Cristalle Keane at its headquarters in Northbrook, IL.

William Bartholomew was recently appointed to the position of marketing specialist & graphic designer at Bell’s headquarters in Northbrook, IL. William has an education in Graphic Design from Columbia College of Chicago along with a strong skillset with various design and photography programs. He was previously a brand management and corporate identity consultant, working with a wide range of companies and industries. William will be focusing on design-based projects on both the flavor and fragrance side at Bell.

Julie Leanes was recently appointed to the position of marketing coordinator at Bell’s headquarters in Northbrook, IL. Julie has a BFA in Visual Communication from the Illinois Institute of Art and a MBA in Marketing from Roosevelt University. She has experience in designing marketing visuals, landing pages, social media requests, promotions, and graphic design requests. Julie will be responsible for many flavor and fragrance projects as well as supporting all marketing needs.

Dave Mercury was recently appointed to the position of marketing manager at Bell’s headquarters in Northbrook, IL. Dave comes to Bell after 11 years with Preferred Meals, a meal system provider for schools, airlines, health care providers for a more well-balanced menu of fresh and frozen foods. He has experience in developing brand standard guidelines, logo creation, trade show materials, packaging, brochures, social media, advertisements, customer mailings, and all other marketing pieces as the lead graphic designer. He has worked closely with account representatives to target marketing within their customer bases as well as cross-functional teams within Preferred Meals. Dave received a MBA in Marketing from Lewis University, a Project Management Certification from Loyola University and a BA in Advertising from the Illinois Institute of Art. 

Cristalle Keane has recently been promoted to manager of sweet creation. Cristalle started as a lab technician and worked her way up to a senior flavorist after extensive training and gaining her Flavorist certification. Through her outstanding work over the past 17 years with Bell, she has demonstrated an excellent work ethic and proven leadership qualities that will help guide the sweet creation team in the future. In addition, to her role as a creative flavorist, Cristalle has been, and will continue to remain a key resource for production staff, supply issues, and helping to optimize Bell’s internal project systems.
