SUN Automation Group, a leading global provider of customer-centric innovations to the corrugated industry, has announced the addition of new talent to its leadership team. Ron Diedeman, current president and board member of SUN Automation, announces his retirement effective April 30, 2018. Following Mr. Diedeman’s retirement, vice president of SUN Automation Group, Chris Kyger, will take over as president. SUN Automation Group is also pleased to announce that corrugated industry veteran Paul Aliprando, formally of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, has joined SUN Automation Group immediately as vice president of digital technologies and will report directly to Chris Kyger.
“I look forward to building on the tremendous legacy and success of Ron’s leadership,” said Kyger. “Ron reestablished our vision of customer service and bringing new product development to the forefront to meet our customer’s needs. Under his leadership the company purchased a building to allow for the space to maintain our growth and service our customers. He will always be an integral part of the SUN family and we wish him well in his “second retirement’,” says Kyger.
Kyger joined SUN over a decade ago and has over 25 years in the corrugated industry having also worked for Langston, Staley and United Container Machinery. He has worked in the areas of sales, parts, service and rebuilds. He brings over twenty years of management, customer relationship and technology experience to his new role as president.

Paul Aliprando is a corrugated industry veteran and former Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Mitsubishi Heavy Industries where he led North American initiatives for the global company. Aliprando has the expertise and knowledge to bring SUN Automation’s acclaimed CorrStream Digital Printer to the next level of success as Vice President for Digital Technologies. Working alongside SUN’s innovative engineers, Aliprando will utilize his experience in the industry to develop new partnerships and bring the CorrStream Digital Printer and SUN’s dedication to digital in to new markets.
