The North American Millers’ Association (NAMA) announced that NAMA Vice Chairman, Mark Kolkhorst, was elected Chairman of NAMA Board of Directors for the 2016-2018 term, succeeding Dan Dye, CEO, Ardent Mills LP (Denver, CO). The announcement was made at the annual NAMA Board of Directors meeting held September 9 in Middleburg, VA.
“It has been a pleasure working with Dan Dye over the last two years and we are indebted to Dan for the leadership he provided our association over the past few years. He's been an exceptional chairman and I want to thank him again for his service to NAMA,, said Jim McCarthy, NAMA President & CEO. “Serving the NAMA membership and the industry has been a privilege and I'm honored to carry on NAMA's legacy as chairman and I want to thank Dan for his leadership over the past two years,” said Kolkhorst.
Mark Kolkhorst is president of Archer Daniels Midland Company’s Milling business (Overland Park, KS). He oversees ADM’s flour milling business in the United States, Canada, the Caribbean and the United Kingdom. Kolkhorst most recently served as president, ADM Alliance Nutrition, and as president, Milling and Cocoa. He also served as president of Specialty Feed Ingredients as well as in various management positions in grain merchandising. Kolkhorst joined the company in 1986. Kolkhorst holds a bachelor’s degree in agribusiness from Illinois State University. He serves on the executive committee of the North American Millers’ Association and the board of directors of the National Association of Manufacturers. Kolkhorst is also a board member of the Kansas City-based American Royal Association, a charitable organization focused on educating youth about agriculture, and serves on the board of the National Parkinson Foundation Heartland Chapter.
