Members of the Biscuit & Cracker Manufacturers’ Association (B&CMA) can now register for the group’s 91st Annual Technical Conference, to be held May 1–4 at the Grand Hyatt Buckhead in Atlanta, at www.thebcma.org.

This year’s event will feature numerous educational opportunities, a new hands-on workshop, a table top exhibition, a new product display and networking opportunities.

The conference will kick-off on May 1 with a golf outing at the Chateau Elan Golf Club in Braselton, GA. A shotgun scramble will begin at 8 a.m. The entry fee must be paid in advance to the B&CMA.

Non-golfers can opt to participate in the Atlanta City Pass Tour instead. The $120 ticket includes admission to the Georgia Aquarium; the World of Coca-Cola; an Inside CNN Studio Tour; Zoo Atlanta or the National Center for Civil and Human Rights; and the Fernbank Museum of Natural History or College Football Hall of Fame.

On May 2, a general session will provide an overview of the state of the industry, while breakout sessions on May 2–3 will cover topics such as biscuit ingredient formulation, collaborative robotics, gluten-free ingredients, trans fat replacement and more. Speaker information will be available at a later date on www.thebcma.org.

From 6–10 p.m. on May 2, attendees can relax and network at TopGolf Atlanta Midtown, an entertainment venue with a high-tech driving range and a lounge with drinks and games.

A new hands-on training workshop will be held May 4 at The Cook’s Warehouse in Atlanta. Attendees will have the option of listening to a presentation by technical advisers and watching a live feed of active participants in a test kitchen, or listening to the presentation and participating in the hands-on workshop. Observers and participants will be charged a fee of $50 and $75, respectively.
