Barry Callebaut’s IBC Belgium, which specializes in color and printing technology for food applications, has launched Color Concentration Control (CCC), a free, easy-to-use online tool designed to help chefs make informed choices on the composition of their macaroon applications, during Broodway, a trade show held in Belgium in September.
CCC enables chefs to easily calculate color concentrations in their macaroons without using formulas. By using the tool, chefs can fully focus on their creativity, while still complying to European Union regulations, according to the brand.
“We are constantly looking for ways to create products and tools that trigger the imagination of our customers and facilitate their work", says Sofie Delathouwer, general manager, IBC Belgium. “The Color Concentration Control tool liberates chefs from the formulas and gives them a secure way to develop new creations from their rich imagination.”
CCC completes IBC’s Power Flower palette, a food coloring system for chocolate, fillings and compound chocolate launched in 2014. Made from tempered cocoa butter and 40 percent coloring agents, the system enables food professionals to make colorfully personalized creations by combining the four Power Flowers (red, yellow, blue and white) and applying the resulting shade to the product of their choice.
