Visitors to this year’s iba— which will be held Sept. 12-17 at Fairground Messe München in Munich—can now reserve their tickets online at www.iba.de/en/tickets. In addition to saving time by purchasing their tickets online for the world’s leading trade fair for bakery, confectionery and snacks, attendees can save up to 9 euros on the ticket price. Purchasers can print their tickets at home or have them sent to their mobile devices. Vouchers for daily tickets can be redeemed online as well.
The iba website also offers attendees many new and useful tools to help them prepare for the trade fair. Exhibitors and visitors can find information about booking a hotel room, travel deals, sightseeing excursions in Bavaria and more.
Using a computer, tablet or smartphone, visitors can filter out favorites from the online catalogue by brand, product or exhibition hall. Hall plans are also available online. Among the other new services on the website are a day-to-day planner listing all events, presentations and special demonstrations in the iba program. Events can be sorted by day, time and category and saved directly to the attendee’s calendar.
The new iba website was designed for optimal function on smartphones and tablet computers. The screen adjusts automatically to the user’s device and is designed for use with touch-screen technology. “It was important to us that iba's new Internet presence would work well on any screen and, above all, be user-friendly,” says Dieter Dohr, general manager of GHM Gesellschaft für Handwerksmessen mbH, iba's trade fair organizer. “Now users have quick and easy access to all the information they are looking for, even when they are on the move.”
