DSM, the life sciences and material sciences company, has appointed Ilona Haaijer president and CEO of DSM Food Specialties, Delft, Netherlands, one of the five global divisions of Royal DSM NV. She will succeed Hans Christian Ambjerg, who is moving to the Nutritional Products division on Jan. 1 to lead innovation.

Haaijer joined DSM in 2010, leading and successfully transforming the DSM Personal Care business unit. She is experienced in leading complex, global businesses in the business-to-consumer and business-to-business sectors.
