The American Pop Corn Co., Sioux City, Iowa, manufacturer of Jolly Time Pop Corn, is celebrating its 100 years in business in a big way. The company was founded by Cloid H. Smith and now, a century later, it’s still family-owned and -operated by his descendants. “We’ll be honoring others who bring joy into their communities by awarding them with $1,000 grants through Jolly Time’s Kernels of Kindness initiative,” the company states on a mailer release. “Being a family business doesn't depend entirely on last names. Our employees, our growers and our customers are all part of the Jolly Time extended family.
“We strive, every day, to make the absolute best popcorn, give employees the absolute best work environment and have the absolute best time doing so. We take pride in every aspect of what we do and want you to taste it in every delicious kernel of Jolly Time Pop Corn.”
SF&WB congratulates the company on its very special anniversary.
