Wire Belt Company of America, Londonderry, N.H., a fourth-generation, family-owned manufacturer of stainless steel wire belt conveying solutions, held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its latest expansion on Nov. 12. The new addition adds close to 25% more floor space, which will be divided into both office and manufacturing space.
“We are proud to manufacture our belts right here in Londonderry,” says CEO and president David Greer. “We know that New Hampshire depends on the manufacturing industry, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to use this new addition to contribute to our local economy.”
Along with the addition of much needed space, the new building was built with energy efficiency in mind. A few of the building’s modern features are new energy-efficient windows, LED lighting, and occupancy sensors. Furthermore, the addition’s expanded roof will allow for the future extension of the company’s current solar energy system.
Wire Belt moved to its Londonderry location in 1989, after 24 years in Winchester, Mass. Since its relocation, the company has added two new product lines, Compact Grid and Versa-Link conveyor belts, as well as many employees.
