Clarkson Soy Products, Cerro Gordo, Ill., entered into an agreement with Molino Oleificio Manzoni S.r.l., Vailate, Italy, for exclusive North American distribution rights for its organic soy lecithin.

A master oil producer for more than 100 years, Molino Oleificio Manzoni produces organic oil and meal from soybeans, sunflower, rapeseed and safflower in its state-of-the-art processing facilities in Italy.

The addition of this organic lecithin supply, coupled with Clarkson’s own U.S processing capacity, will significantly alleviate the current supply-demand imbalance of organic soy lecithin, according to the company. The first shipments are expected to arrive for distribution in mid-January.
