Fast food giant Yum Brands says it has sold its Pizza Hut restaurant chain in the U.K., which has 330 outlets, to London-based venture capitalist firm Rutland Partners. Rutland reports it will commit 20 million euros to a 60-million-euros refurbishment program and operate the business under a franchise deal with the U.S. group, which also owns the KFC and Taco Bell brands.
The Pizza Hut restaurant business has approximately 10,000 employees the U.K. Yum says it will retain the brand’s delivery business.
