The American Bakers Association, Washington, adds four new members to the board of directors: Maureen Linder, Pepperidge Farm; Erin Sharp, The Kroger Company; John C. Campbell II, Chattanooga Bakery; and Dave Murphy, Mother Murphy's Laboratories.
"It is with great excitement that we welcome four new directors," says ABA president and CEO Robb MacKie. "We look forward to welcoming them to the board and know they will be tremendous sources of insight and leadership in the years to come."
Linder will replace long-time ABA board director Pat Callaghan, who retires in July. Sharp replaces outgoing director Mary Ellen Adcock, who transitioned out of the baking category when she was promoted at Kroger earlier this year. Campbell II joins the board as vice president of Chattanooga Bakery—a new company now represented at the board level.
Lastly, Murphy assumes the role of chairman. Dan Babin, Bimbo Bakeries, cycled off as his term as AIB chairman, which concluded in March. “ABA is of course disappointed to say goodbye to some exceptional voices on our board of directors. Pat, Mary Ellen and Dan have been tremendous assets to our organization during their service,” MacKie says. “I know the membership joins me in thanking them for their terrific contributions.”
