Snyder’s-Lance, Charlotte, N.C., says it will close its salty
snacks manufacturing plant in Corsicana, Texas, effective Feb. 10, and
will consolidate production into other existing facilities.
As a part of integration efforts since its formation in a merger on December 9, 2010, Snyder's-Lance, Charlotte, N.C., says it will close its salty snacks operation in Corsicana, Texas. After conducting a comprehensive review of its total manufacturing network, management decided to close the facility in order to reduce operating costs while consolidating production into its other manufacturing locations.
Snyder’s-Lance says it will provide severance and outplacement support to associates impacted by the decision and will offer information on open jobs in its other facilities. The company manufactures, markets and distributes snack foods throughout the United States and internationally. Its products include pretzels, sandwich crackers, potato chips, cookies, tortilla chips, restaurant style crackers, nuts and other snacks. Snyder's-Lance, Inc. has production facilities in North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Iowa, Indiana, Georgia, Arizona, Massachusetts, Texas, Florida, Ohio, and Ontario, Canada.
