Ross’ new double planetary mixer contains two special high-viscosity mixing blades that revolve on their own axis, as well as on a common axis, within the mix vessel.
According to the Hauppauge, N.Y.-based company, the mixers come in sizes ranging from one-half pint to 750 gallons working capacity. Ross’s 150-gallon model, for instance, comes with telescoping stainless steel enclosure, vacuum construction, 316 stainless steel wetted parts, high-viscosity parts, sanitary polish to enable fast and thorough cleaning, mix vessel on non sparking caster wheels and variable-speed drive using a variable frequency inverter.
