Some Slim Jim Production to Resume
ConAgra plans to restart limited production of its Slim Jim jerky snacks at its Garner, Ga., plant in the near future, according to published reports.
Employees returned to working at the facility this week, according to the Charlotte Observer and Omaha World-Herald.
That plant was rocked last month following an explosion that killed three employees and injured dozens of others. Omaha, Neb.-based ConAgra reportedly has shifted some production to its other facilities and is relying on third-party production to combat the recent shortage of Slim Jim jerky products.
