The company furthers its commitment to supply certified sustainable palm oil to customers by 2015 by continuing the flow of RSPO-certified Sustainable Palm Oil to North America.
IOI Loders Croklaan, Channahon, Ill., says as interest continues to grow in using certified-sustainable palm oil, more companies want to implement this oil in advance of publicly stated adoption dates. Says Mark Weyland, sustainability director, Americas, “IOI Loders Croklaan continues to expand the number of products offered using CSPO and CSPKO (palm kernel oil), supporting all customers achieve their stated goals.”
IOI Loders Croklaan welcomed its first delivery of fully RSPO-certified, sustainable oil to North America on February 20, 2011. In April 2010, the company became the first to offer RSPO certified segregated palm oil in continental Europe on a large scale.
Part of the IOI Group, IOI Loders Croklaan is a leading fully integrated palm oil producer that says it’s committed to the principles and criteria of the RSPO (www.rspo.org), and believes that these offer the best roadmap to the development of a truly sustainable global palm oil industry. The company actively participates in RSPO initiatives to promote the growth and use of sustainable palm oil. Currently, 53% of IOI plantations have received RSPO-approval and expect to complete certification for all of its holdings by the end of 2012.
