IT’SUGAR, a subsidiary of BBX Capital, Inc., has opened its newest retail location at the Ala Moana Center in Honolulu, Hawaii.
The 18,000-sq.-ft. location is IT’SUGAR’s second candy department store and features more than 30 candy stations, a branded Sour Patch shop, a branded OREO department, and a TikTok area. It also features Hawaiian-themed centerpieces such as sea creatures made entirely of jelly beans, giant fabricated gummy bears, Sour Patch Kids in hula skirts and Toucan Sam with Shaka hands.
“IT'SUGAR's goal is to provide an escape from everyday life,” said Jeff Rubin, CEO and founder of IT’SUGAR. “As there is no better place to escape to than Hawaii, we are thrilled to bring this larger-than-life candy experience to the Ala Moana Center in Hawaii.”
This opening follows IT’SUGAR’s first candy department store, located in the American Dream shopping complex in New Jersey.
“We are pleased that IT’SUGAR is expanding throughout the United States and has opened its first Hawaii flagship store at Ala Moana Center,” said Jarett Levan, CEO of BBX Capital, Inc. “The Center is believed to be one of the largest open-air shopping centers in the world and is one of Hawaii’s premier gathering places to explore, connect, and shop.”
