The 2020 Western Candy Conference has been canceled due to coronavirus.
Every five years the event is held in the Hawaiian islands and this was the year it was slated to be held in Hawaii. Specifically, it was slated for March 18-March 22 at the Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort
The Western Candy Association Board said it, “extends our sympathies to our members and to the many families and companies affected by coronavirus and the Covid-19 travel restrictions”
“Out of consideration for the health and safety of our members, our travel partners, and the wonderful Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort and Kilohana Plantation teams, our 2020 conference will not take place this spring,” the Board continued. “Our deepest apologies for inconveniences. We send our thanks to Mayor Derek Kawakami for the gracious welcome and our best wishes to the people of Kauai for good health across their beautiful island.”
Western Candy Conference is the annual meeting for members of Western Candy Association.
interpack 2020 also was postponed due to the coronavirus. That event is now slated to be held Feb. 25-March 3, 2021.
