Peeps maker Just Born Quality Confections will open its factory to consumers for the first time through a partnership with United Way and the launch of a nationwide sweepstakes.
The Peeps Helping Peeps Sweepstakes grand prize includes a trip for four to experience a behind-the-scenes tour at Just Born’s facility in Bethlehem, Pa. To enter, Peeps is encouraging fans to make a donation of $5 or more to United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley, which will support community schools.
"Although we've had many requests and lots of fans show up at our doors over the years, the Peeps factory has never been open to the public," said Matt Pye, Just Born senior v.p. of sales and marketing. "We couldn't think of a better reason to open our doors for the first time ever than by teaming up with our local United Way to help give back to the community that Peeps calls home. The winner of our Peeps Helping Peeps Sweepstakes will embark upon a once-in-a-lifetime tour of our factory and witness first-hand how our iconic Peeps marshmallow is made, all while helping raise funds in support of important community enhancing programs."
United Way seeks to improve lives and community conditions by assessing the needs of the community, raising funds and investing in programs, measuring results and mobilizing people to action. Just Born Quality Confections is a third-generation family-owned business located within the Greater Lehigh Valley. Through the partnership with United Way, Peeps will also help support education initiatives by raising funds for student programs, including programs to help raise children's reading scores.

The Peeps Helping Peeps Sweepstakes is open now through April 8. The grand prize winner will be announced at United Way's Day of Caring event on April 18.
