Some candies don’t fit neatly into one column or another. That’s okay; the “other” candies like marshmallows, spreads, interactive novelty items, and such seem to be fitting into consumers’ candy budgets just fine.

Michael D. Eisner's Tornante Company and Madison Dearborn Partners (MDP) has renamed the confections and gift cards divisions of Topps, Inc. as the The Bazooka Companies, Inc. after selling its sports and entertainment division to Fanatics.

Participating candy companies submitted new products for retail buyers to taste. The buyers also voted for their favorite in each of three categories: Chocolate, Non-Chocolate and Novelty.
