Mike Porter began his baking career during his teenage years, in a family owned/operated scratch bakery. During his career with New Horizons Baking Co./Genesis Baking Co., he has held various positions, including production supervisor, director of quality assurance, plant manager, VP of sales administration, VP of operations and is currently the president of Genesis Baking Co., a business unit of New Horizons Baking Co. Mike graduated from Mount Vernon Nazarene University, with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration. He is also a graduate of the American Institute of Baking’s Baking and Science Resident Course. This is his second year as an active member of the Baking Industry Forum.
