Alchemy Systems has announced that Intertek Group plc has acquired Alchemy from The Riverside Company.
Since its founding in 2003, Alchemy’s training software and courses have been deployed by hundreds of food and retail companies including Kellogg’s, Ocean Spray, JBS, Pilgrim’s, Shake Shack, The Home Depot, Tillamook, SoulCycle, and Macy’s to train frontline workforces. Every month, three million employees at 50,000 locations use Alchemy to reduce safety risk and improve operational performance.
“We are delighted to join the Intertek Group,” said Jeff Eastman, Alchemy CEO. “Intertek’s global presence and deep expertise in Total Quality Assurance will enable us to expand our solutions and further accelerate our international growth.”
Intertek is a US$3+ billion revenue public company trading on the London Stock Exchange (ITRK). Intertek traces its history back 130 years, including a company started by Thomas Edison. Intertek has 43,000 employees in 100 countries providing Assurance, Testing, Inspection and Certification services across a range of industry sectors.
Alchemy’s technology solutions and expertise will strengthen Intertek’s Total Quality Assurance proposition with the expansion of their global Assurance business into People Assurance, helping companies mitigate safety risks and increase operational effectiveness through effective training, communications, and operational programs.
“Alchemy’s unique focus on frontline workforce training is critical for safety and operational execution,” said André Lacroix, Intertek Group CEO. “Our combined solution will provide companies with a higher level of quality assurance and with greater peace of mind.”
