Bud Shull, VP of sales for G&S Foods, has announced his planned retirement after 13 years with the company. Prior to his departure, Mr. Shull will transition his responsibilities to Chuck Sinon, who will assume the role of VP of sales. In addition, Travis Grim will be joining the organization as VP of R&D.
“Bud has been an invaluable asset to the company with much of our growth and strong customer relationships directly attributable to his intellect and remarkable work ethic. We were aware of Bud’s intent to retire for some time, which allowed us to proactively build our succession plan,” said Steve Garvick, Senior VP.
Chuck Sinon interestingly started his snack career under the sales management of Mr. Shull at Bon Ton/York Snacks. From there, Mr. Sinon was at the forefront of the organic snack movement – first substantially growing Guiltless Gourmet tortilla chips by repositioning the snack from specialty distribution to DSD distribution, and later as an owner of Mesa Foods where he spearheaded growth strategies in grocery private label, co-manufacturing & foodservice. “The Warehime family and G&S Foods have both played a role in the success I’ve experienced during my career, and I am excited to return the favor by working to expand the company’s reach through innovation, strategy and partnerships,” stated Mr. Sinon.
Travis Grim will join the team as VP R&D with responsibility for product innovation, development and quality control. Prior to G&S, Mr. Grim was VP R&D at Snyder’s/Lance where he spent his entire professional career. “The entrepreneurial spirit at G&S paired with decades of industry experience is quite unique. With that backdrop, I am confident we can continue to expand our capabilities and offerings, while maintaining our focus on consistent quality and service for our customers,” conveyed Mr. Grim.
“Chuck has an impressive track record as an owner/operator responsible for tremendous sales growth within multiple snack categories, and Travis has been at the heart of many of Snyder’s most innovative snack product launches. G&S feels extremely fortunate that they chose to join us during this exciting time in the company’s history,” expressed Tricia Warehime, chairman of the Board.
