Edlong, a global flavor company focused exclusively on dairy and dairy-free flavors, has launched a new, enhanced website at edlong.com. The goal is to provide an overall user experience that is more engaging and educates visitors quickly on the company, and how Edlong can help customers achieve their product development objectives with its unique flavor technologies and capabilities.

“Among the important new elements are Flavor Tools that help current and potential customers shorten innovation time by guiding them in what aspects to consider when determining flavor needs,” said Lisa Drawer, Edlong director of marketing.  Also added is an expanded Resource Library that goes beyond the traditional blog to provide a variety of assets, including vital educational information about global food and beverage trends, inspiring application ideas and Edlong’s singular expertise with dairy and dairy-free flavors.

Other updated features include: a newly released brand video that highlights Edlong’s expertise and focused approach to dairy flavors; new information about Edlong Enriches, an employee-led group dedicated to local charity work; an in-depth Careers page that highlights Edlong’s award-winning workplace culture; updated leadership biographies; and quick call-to-action links that make it easy for customers to get in touch with the company at any point in the product development process.

“We have accelerated our innovation efforts in three strategic areas, dairy-free/veganhealthy reduction, and culinary/indulgence, all of which have important growth opportunites for our customers,” said Beth Warren, Edlong Chief Commercial Officer.  “We’ve designed our new site to provide them with the expertise and guidance they need when developing these applications. Providing a website that is built around our customers’ needs is part of our overall commitment to manage our business in a way that puts them first.”

Edlong’s new website will be updated regularly with news on products, events and relevant industry developments. Visitors are encouraged to explore the new site and can sign up to receive Edlong’s email newsletter, DairyConnect, for monthly delivery of news and expertise.

Edlong has awarded Feeding Tomorrow scholarships to Chelsey Hinnenkamp and Casey Rush. Since 2012, the company has awarded thousands of dollars in scholarship money to students pursuing a degree in food science with an emphasis on dairy flavors and/or dairy science. The scholarships are awarded through IFT, the Institute of Food Technologists.

“There is no doubt that Chelsey and Casey will go on to make major contributions to the food industry given their commitment and drive,” said Edlong president and CEO Laurette Rondenet. “Edlong is honored to support them in their studies.”

Chelsey Hinnenkamp has been awarded the 2018 Feeding Tomorrow Specialty Graduate Scholarship. She is a second-year PhD student in food science at the University of Minnesota, where she also completed her MS in 2016. A senior at Oregon State University, she is majoring in Food Science and Technology and minoring in Chemistry. She will be attending Oregon State University next year for her master’s degree in Food Science and Technology.
