BumbleBar is pleased to announce the promotion of team member Joanna Miller to the research and development department.
As an R&D technician, Miller works with CEO Liz Ward to develop nutrition bars for clients, wherever they are in their journey. Whether clients have only a concept, or they have a product formula, Ward and Miller help to hone the taste, texture and nutrition clients are seeking to get their bar ready for production in the exclusively plant-based facility.
“I am thrilled that Joanna will be working directly with me,” said Ward. “She shares our values, and places the same strong emphasis as we do on creating a better world through quality, delicious, clean, plant-based, gluten-free food. Joanna has shown herself to be an asset throughout her time here.”
Starting in production, Miller joined the BumbleBar team in September 2016. She became a machine operator before being brought into the R&D department. Previously, Miller worked as a freelance journalist in Spokane, mainly covering the local food and drink scene. BumbleBar also benefits from Miller’s contribution to its marketing department, where she utilizes her bachelor’s degree in journalism and philosophy from Whitworth University.
“I love knowing my work helps get clean, nutritious and yummy food into the hands of more people,” Miller said.
In her free time, Miller helps out on the vegetable farm where she is a tenant, and she likes to take her paddleboard out on the lakes whenever she gets a chance.
