Mark Salman has been named president of the Middleby Food Processing Group, effective January 1st. Mark will oversee the operations, engineering, sales and marketing of the fifteen brands in the group which offer solutions for the industrial production of proteins, packaging and bakery products.
“Mark has proven his effective leadership through the successful and swift expansion of the Middleby Bakery Group, opening of several Bakery Innovation Centers and through the new technologies he has delivered to the market. His solid customer relationships and deep understanding of their needs is a tremendous asset to all of our brands,” said Selim Bassoul, chairman and CEO of The Middleby Corporation, who made the announcement.
Mark joined the Middleby Bakery Group as president in 2015. He has received many accolades and significant customer recognition for the opening of the Bakery Innovation Center in Texas earlier this year and more recently another facility in India. Mark has more than 30 years of domestic and worldwide leadership experience in the baking manufacturing industry including new product development and project design and management. The Food Processing Group includes world leaders in industrial processing and baking as well as packaging and specialty areas. Mr. Salman is a graduate of the American University of Beirut and of the Entrepreneurial Executive Program at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He was named “CEO of the Month” by the CEO Club, NY and was the winner of the prestigious U.S. “Intermediate Wholesale bakery of the Year” award from Snack Food & Wholesale Bakery Magazine.
