The Markel Food Group has announced the appointment of Slobodan Djukic as vice president, Markel Food Group Business System (MBS).
As vice president, Mr. Slobodan will lead the aggressive implementation of the business system throughout the family of companies. Slobodan joins the manufacturing group with 10 years of experience utilizing and implementing the Danaher/Fortive Business System at Pacific Scientific, a company committed to supporting businesses with essential technologies.
“I find Slobodan to be a uniquely engaging person with deep experience in this critical area for our continued success,” stated Markel Food Group CEO Ken Newsome. “He will work to further develop our business system and ensure that each of our companies around the world operates under the guidance of these shared values and critical processes.”
Slobodan earned his degree in Economics from Arizona State University. He has spent his career guiding teams through lean manufacturing, policy deployment, value stream mapping, statistical process control, and other process improvement efforts.
Slobodan will be based at the Markel Food Group headquarters in Richmond, Virginia.
