The Independent Bakers Association has announced its 43rd Annual Convention, Tuesday and Wednesday June 13-14th in Washington, D.C.
The meeting will take place in the Admiral Rooms of the Courtyard Capitol Hill, 140 L Street SE, Washington, DC 20003. Convention events include a Farm Bill preview, in-depth discussion on implementing the nutrition facts panel changes, guest presentations on tax and healthcare reform, plus daily luncheons with members of Congress and a spouse and family outing on Wednesday.
The Horst G. Denk Legislative Service Awards will be presented to Senators Pat Roberts (R-KS) and Patty Murray (D-WA) for their leadership in the agriculture and food policy field. The award reception will be Wednesday evening at the Capitol Visitor Center. Following the reception, IBA will host a BakePAC dinner for all members and guests at the nearby Capitol Hill Club.

As a courtesy, IBA staff is happy to book your reservation if you prefer. Attendees must book by May 17th to receive the discounted rate of $299.00/night Monday-Wednesday.
Attendees may also indicate on your reservation form if they would like to give a brief member-spotlight presentation during the meeting, be scheduled for a visit with a legislator, take part in the golf outing, or attend the “early-arrivals” backyard cookout that Monday.
