Carol Smallwood has joined Gum Technology  Corp., Tucson, Ariz., as Eastern sales manager. She is responsible for sales in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee. She also is managing the company’s sales force from the Mid-Atlantic states up through the New England states.

Smallwood comes to Gum Technology after an eight-year tenure with Butter Buds Food Ingredients, where she managed the company’s Southeast territory. She has a great deal of experience helping customers problem-solve texture and stabilization issues, a background in hydrocolloids and extensive knowledge of food processors, especially in the Southeast.
