Bimbo Bakeries, the Horsham, Pa.-based division of Mexican baker Grupo Bimbo, which has 75 production locations across the U.S., says that it will launch Sara Lee breads in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island and Vermont, and will also expand existing distribution networks in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland and Washington, D.C.

The news comes more than a year after Bimbo purchased Sara Lee's baked goods business for $959 million. Bimbo also says that it has reformulated the top-selling recipes to make them healthier by removing artificial colors, flavors and preservatives.
