The Tortilla Industry Association (TIA), Arlington, Va., has changed the date of its field trip to Thursday, May 10 instead of Saturday, May 12. However, the date of the classroom workshop remains the same, Friday May 11. The location of the seminar remains the same, at the Disney Grand Californian. Additional details on speakers and topics will be posted on the TIA website as they are finalized.
The adjusted dates now are:
Thursday May 10:
9:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Field Trip
5:30- 7:30 p.m. Tabletops and Cocktail Reception
Friday May 11:
9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Classroom Sessions
The change to the filed trip day will allow attendees who want to bring their families to Disneyland on Saturday as that day is now free, says Jim Kabbani, chief executive officer of TIA. “We have arranged for special TIA group discounts with Disney,” he says. “For those who don't plan to do go to Disneyland and would prefer to leave on Friday so they can spend the weekend at home, they can now do so, since we finish at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.”
With topics such as Guar Gum Replacement, Commodities Forecast, Trans Fat Solutions, Effects of Water Variables on Tortillas, Latest Advances in Masa, Preservative Systems Selection, What It's Really Like to Undergo 3rd Party Audit, Field Trips, and more--the 2012 TIA Technical Seminar is designed to provide information that will give you an advantage. The Tabletops Cocktail Reception is also a great way to make valuable business contacts and get product exposure.
