1949 Potato Chip Publicity Includes Menu Suggestions
During the summer of 1949, SFA's predecessor, the National Potato Chip Institute (NPCI), issued a series of news and radio releases. The newspaper releases included a suggested menu for the Fourth of July. The radio releases consisted of new ideas for using potato chips during the summer months. Shown are the Institute's home economist Florence La Ganke Harris, along with Secretary Harvey F. Noss, and Mr. And Mrs. Martin Janis, representing NPCI's publicity committee, preparing material for a photograph to accompany the newspaper release.
