Irving, Texas-based Hostess Brands ‘thinks pink’ with its launch of a new strawberry cupcake, which adds a new twist to an American favorite.


Hostess Brands, Irving, Texas, maker of one of a most iconic snack cake brands, is introducing a new pink strawberry version as a permanent addition to its line of squiggle-topped treats. Baked with a burst of fresh strawberries, the moist, strawberry-flavored cupcakes are each topped with strawberry-flavored icing,Hostess’ signature crème filling andThe Original Squiggle. Eight cupcakes are individually-wrapped and packed in a 15-oz. carton.

“Hostess CupCakes continue to be among America’s most popular sweet treats,” says Mike Touhey, vice president of snack marketing for Hostess Brands. “Strawberry is an increasingly popular flavor trend and now, consumers can enjoy our signature cupcake with festive pink icing and the fresh taste of strawberry.”

The newHostessStrawberry CupCakes are available in stores across the country and joining the Original Chocolate CupCake with chocolate icing, the Golden CupCake, which debuted in 1999, and flavored Orange CupCakes.
