Italian chocolate and gelato maker Venchi has opened a flagship store on Piccadilly Street in London.
The 100-sq.-meter Piccadilly store is the company’s biggest location in the city. In addition to offering more than 60 different types of chocolates, Venchi is bringing house-made gelato in 16 flavors, including its latest vegan options. The store also features two fountains with Suprema chocolate spread, gelatoshakes and a Wall of Fame made of chocolate bars.
The store will have a dedicated coffee area to order signature drinks and crêpes, as well as a selection of gourmet coffees with layers of Suprema spread and Chocoviar and Nougatine grains.
The store will exhibit its latest novelty, the Chocoviar wall, which is dedicated to Venchi’s iconic collection. A color spectacle, the wall will be populated with all available flavors from the collection: Gianduia, 75% Chocoviar extra fondente, Pistachio, Crème Brulée and Crème Suprema.
Venchi has more than 150 stores across more than 70 countries. In London, it has six boutiques at Exhibition Road, King’s Road, Covent Garden, Hampstead and Richmond. It can also be found at luxury wholesalers Harrods, Selfridges, Eataly, and Fenwick. More recently, it opened a new store in Long Acre, in the heart of Covent Garden district and in Wardour Street, in the heart of Soho.
Venchi plans to open a location at the newly renovated Battersea Power Station by the end of 2022.
“Venchi chocolate is an Italian institution, but it's the brand's willingness to innovate and expand that has kept it on chocolate-loving lips for so many years across continents,” said Venchi CEO Daniele Ferrero. “Thanks to this ongoing mission of elevating chocolate making to an art form, Venchi brings the true Italian tasting experience all over the world. We look forward to expanding our presence in the UK, a market of great taste."
