M&M’s can now — thanks to a new printing machine in the New York City M&M’S World store — get a little personal.
The Personalized Printer, introduced Wednesday by Mars Retail Group, allows customers to print two messages and two New York City-themed images on their favorite M&M’S in just two minutes.
Available images include New York’s “Big Apple,” “I Love N.Y.,” the Statue of Liberty, and a variety of New York sports teams’ logos.
The personalization doesn’t stop there, however. Customers visiting the Times Square store can choose from 15 different colors and one mix blend, available in 10- , 12- , 16- , and 32-oz. containers.
Though customers can currently order customized M&M’s via MY M&M’S, the company’s online service, Mars Retail Group hopes the NYC printer, along with the printer launched in Las Vegas in 2010, will give consumers an opportunity for interactivity.
“We’re certain that the addition of this newest hands-on interactive experience in our New York City store will make guests’ experience even more unforgettable,” says Susan Saideman, president of Mars Retail Group.
Headquartered in McLean, Va, .Mars, Inc., Mars Retail Group’s parent company, manufactures brands including Snickers, Milky Way and Wrigley chewing gum.
