In celebration of the Candy Industry Kettle Awards' 75th Anniversary, for the first time in the event history attendees have the opportunity to purchase tickets for the formal dinner, which follows the public reception ceremony.
While the anniversary is in and of itself worthy of a monumental celebration, the evening is even more noteworthy than originally imagined after the Kettle was postponed in both 2021 and 2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Thus, this year we will celebrate the Kettle’s long and storied history while also sharing a stronger appreciation for our ability to gather together.
The 2022 Kettle Awards will be held:
Tuesday, May 24
Union League Club of Chicago
65 W. Jackson Blv. Chicago, Il.
The public reception, where the year’s Kettle recipient will be revealed, will be held from 6-7:30 p.m., while the formal dinner will follow from 7:30-9:30 p.m.
Attendance at the reception is free of charge and no registration is required.
However, dinner tickets must be purchased in advance as limited seats are available. The tickets are $225 for individual seats, or $1,600 for a table of eight.
The 2020 nominees will be up for the award at the 2022 ceremony. They include:
- Judy Hilliard McCarthy, owner, Hilliards Chocolates, North Easton, Mass.
- Robert A. Nelson, chairman and CEO, Elmer Chocolate, Ponchatoula, La.
- Mark Schlott, executive v.p., COO, R. M. Palmer Co., West Reading, Pa.
Established in 1946 by Candy Industry's founder and publisher, Don Gussow, the Kettle Award represents the highest recognition an individual working within the U.S. confectionery industry can attain.
