Blommer Chocolate Company has announced three organizational changes with the goal of better serving its customers.
David Meggs will move into the chief operating officer role, leading the commercial team (sales, marketing, R&D, supply chain) in addition to operations of Blommer’s four North American production facilities. The company says the move will allow it to align its commercial growth strategy with the supply side of the business. Meggs joined Blommer in 2017 and has held various sales, business development, and engineering roles in the food industry.
Blommer is also promoting Colleen Ness to v.p. of sales & marketing. Ness also joined the company in 2017 and has a background in sales and customer-focused activities. Until recently, Ness has served as director of sales for the Midwest region, in addition to leading marketing activities. Blommer said it will hire her successor in the Midwest as she takes on a larger role.
Blommer has also promoted Melissa Tisoncik to v.p. of research & development and QA. She has more than 10 years of experience within the company. Tisoncik will be responsible for Blommer’s quality assurance and regulatory activities within the company.
