The holidays are coming early for Divine Chocolate this year.
The Washington, D.C.-based chocolatier recently launched its Holiday 2012 line, which includes Christmas, Hanukkah and non-denominational products.
Erin Gorman, ceo of Divine Chocolate, says the company’s line will provide a happy season for all, including the 60,000 Ghanaian cocoa farmers who co-own the brand.
“Divine Chocolate’s vision is to create a world in which chocolate is cherished and celebrated by everyone, including cocoa farmers who take pride in the work they do to provide the finest quality ingredients for their own chocolate brand,” Gorman says. “By choosing Divine chocolate you become part of realizing our vision and improving the lives of cocoa farming families during this season of hope and giving."
The line offers a nativity scene advent calendar and miniature dark chocolate trees, as well as milk and dark chocolate coins. Divine also has a range of limited edition bars with flavors such as milk chocolate with spiced cookies, dark chocolate with hazelnut truffle and dark chocolate with hazelnut and cranberries.
Divine Chocolate is a Fair Trade company founded and co-owned by the Kuapa Kokoo Farmers Cooperative in Ghana.
