If you thought Almond Roca candy was delicious, wait until you try it as a wine.
Tacoma, Wash.-based Brown & Haley has introduced a new Almond Roca Cream, a cream-based dessert wine.
The company worked with Chocolate Shop Winemaker Hal Landvoigt to create a wine featuring natural almond and toffee flavors married with delicate cocoa notes, just like the flavors found in the company’s famous toffee. It’s crafted to be enjoyed over ice, as a traditional wine, or mixed with coffee.
Brown & Haley spent two years developing the product and did taste tests in China, Hong Kong and the United States to make sure the flavors appeal to a broad range of consumer preferences.
“[It] captures the very essence of our Almond Roca Buttercrunch in a silky dessert wine,” says Pierson Clair, the company’s ceo.
A 750ml bottle will have a suggested retail price of $14.99 and contains 14% alcohol. It will be marketed by Precept WIne.
The wine launch is part of Almond Roca’s 100 Anniversary Celebration.
