Each year, the PMCA’s program committee — in addition to putting together a comprehensive three-day schedule encompassing presentations aimed at educating and enlightening attendees on all things confectionery — also strives to introduce new twists and tweaks at the annual event.
This year, besides an engaging hands-on chocolate program as well as a live honey-producing bee exhibit, the committee has announced a “surprise.”
As Pat Hurley, consulting director - international sales, Spangler Candy Co. and chairman of the PMCA Membership and Marketing Committee says, this year attendees will witness changes to PMCA itself as the association “sheds its skin and spread its wings in preparation for the next stage of enhanced educational opportunities, a unique and inspiring annual conference and new ways of delivering information through changing methods of communication.”
As he goes on to explain, “The annual conference is an opportunity to catch up on new developments and meet old friends but it is more than that, it is a place where just by being there, catching words in the wind, you can be inspired and sense the direction of the industry..
