Kit Kat to be sold in Brazil

Brazilians will soon have the chance to break themselves off a piece of that Kit Kat bar. Nestle has announced plans to sell the wafer confectionery snack in the country starting Friday.
Imported from Europe, the bar will sell for BRL 2.50 each, the company says. They will be available at Walmart and Sam’s Club supermarkets throughout Brazil as well as via the retail channel in the south of the country.
The launch in Brazil means Nestle now sells the Kit Kat brand in 73 countries.
Brazil does have a strong Nestle presence already. Nestle Brazil - which employs more than 20,000 employees - built its first factory in 1921 in Araras, and the lines were used to make Milkmaid. The product later became known as the Brazilian translation, Leite Moca. Now, the company also sells Ninho, Maggi and Nescafe.
The Kit Kat brand also has recently made headway in Austrialia, where the Kit Kat Chunky 3 bar was launched last month. It features the brand’s signature crisp wafer topped with three breakable chunks containing fudge, crisp and sauce.
The bar will be manufactured with UTZ Certified sustainable cocoa.
