Flavorchem Corp. has announced its acquisition of a flavor production facility in Kerepes, Hungary.

The plant, which will operate under the name Flavorchem Europe Kft, will increase Flavorchem's European presence by supporting the production of liquid, powdered, and spray-dried products used in the baking, beverage, confectionery and nutraceutical industries.

“The acquisition complements and extends our production and distribution of flavor systems, natural extracts, and color processing to better serve customers in Europe and the UK," says Ken Malinowski, president of Flavorchem. "We look forward to working with the employees in Kerepes who have already demonstrated their strong commitment to quality and food safety by having earned BRC Grade A and ISO9001:2008 certifications."

The plant will be a fully-owned subsidiary of Flavorchem, which is based in the U.S. and provides flavor, color and masking solutions.
