Las Vegas-based Sugar Factory American Brasserie, a restaurant and retail confectionery operation, has opened a new store in Chicago’s River North neighborhood, which is just off Michigan Ave., a stretch commonly referred to as the Magnificent Mile.

Known for celebrity endorsements and appearances, Sugar Factory pairs bulk and packaged candy sales with upscale dining experiences. The 9,300-sq.-ft. River North store, located on Grand Ave., opened Dec. 10 with an appearance by Scott Disick, a television personality associated with the Kardashian family.

Created by a team of world-class chefs, menu selections include pancakes, sweet and savory crepes, salads, burgers, steaks and shakes. Signature treats include celebrity-endorsed Couture Pops, candy-infused martinis, Smoking Candy Goblets with or without spirits and the 24-scoop King Kong Sundae.

Festivities marking the store’s opening continued Wednesday with an appearance by Nick Carter, Howie Dorough and Brian Littrell of Backstreet Boys.

In 2015, Sugar Factory opened a location in Rosemont, which features a Chocolate Lounge and a goblet and daiquiri bar.

Sugar Factory has locations in Las Vegas; New York City; Washington D.C.; Los Angeles; Orlando, Fla.; Miami, Fla.; Dubai; Bahrain and Manila.
