On July 3, Dresden, Germany-based Theegarten-Pactec marked the completion of the first phase of its €30-million expansion project to its headquarters and production site. The first phase included the construction of a new office building and half of a new production hall, both of which will add 50,000 sq. meters to the company’s existing facilities.
The project, which represents Theegarten-Pactec’s largest investment to date, stemmed from the company’s recent rapid growth. The expansion will allow better installation conditions for complex wrapping systems including feeding and distribution components.
The new space will also streamline start-up procedures of the wrapping systems, thus expanding complex trouble-shooting in Dresden. This will reduce time-consuming and costly on-site work by company technicians.
The project will create 50 new jobs within the company and provides the infrastructure necessary for continued future growth. The second half of the assembly and production hall will be completed in spring/summer 2017.
