Pennsylvania-based Wolfgang Candy has rebranded as Wolfgang Confectioners, marking a shift in focus from producing consumer products to co-manufacturing.

The 97-year-old company, which moved to a state-of-the-art, 60,000-sq.-ft. facility in Loganville, Pa., in 2016, hopes to become a “challenger” in the Mid-Atlantic co-manufacturing space. Wolfgang’s manufacturing capabilities include packing, moulding, enrobing, and sourcing.

“These exciting new changes will allow us to better communicate our core competencies to the market and show them the vision we have to be recognized as the ‘top of mind’ choice for confection and snack companies as a premier co-manufacturer,” says Wolfgang President Sam Miller.

Miller became president Jan. 1, 2017, after former president and ceo Ben McGlaughlin, the great-grandson of Wolfgang’s founders, stepped down at the end of 2016.

“As Wolfgang Confectioners, we will continue to use our vast experience in confection to produce and co-pack candy products for our customers and their brands,” Miller says. “We do all of this with a secondary desire to bless the lives of our employees, customers, vendors and community in small but lasting ways.”
